6 large fresh tomatoes - cut into chunks
(peel skin if you choose)
2 cans Hunt spaghetti sauce (any flavor will
work - these are around $1.00 a can -
bargain)
1 pound ground beef browned and drained
1 package noodles - cooked and drained
(whatever you've got - elbow noodles work
great)
1 can stewed tomatoes - (consider Italian
style with basil and garlic - for added
taste)
1 can corn
1/2 cup brown sugar (secret ingredient -
makes it just right)
Salt and pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients and allow to simmer
- Share! Great in bread bowls!
This is a great way to share fresh tomatoes
in the summer. You could easily add zucchini
chucks to this pot of soup - it's nearly
impossible to mess this dish up
*Not an official name - it's just what we
refer to it by. My neighbor Heidi Blake
always made this soup and had us over at the
beginning of tomato season.
